You, Feed Them

That old formula has expired. There is a difference

between sharing and giving.

Before we discuss the lamba on giving, one of our big issues in Nigeria is that we do not deal with nor address outstanding issues.

Rather than focus on and develop what we have, we look at other areas and leave a lot of projects in pending files.

Made in Nigeria cars. Are we ready? We have other natural resources that we should concentrate on

We are not a wealthy nation.
We are the poverty capital of the world.

We need to see how we can get out of poverty first.

For a country to become rich. You have to be able to sell and get revenue.

Does Nigeria have the money to do the research and design for cars? Do we have the numbers? No, we do not.

Can we match the quality of other countries? No, we can’t.

Nigeria has a poor working formula. We can build cars but we need to take care of the basics first.

Giving, is old covenant while sharing, is new covenant

Matthew 14: 15-16
Christ told the disciples not to send the crowd away.

The Old Testament forma was no longer at work.

If Christ taught his disciples to feed those who came to him, why then are pastors today doing the opposite?

Why are they teaching you about a Christ who requires food?

This christ they teach you about is not the Christ of the scriptures. You are simply feeding the Antichrist.

They come to you with the Elijah mentality

1 kings 17:8-14

No Nigerian has the anointing of Elijah. None of them

If Elijah was the alternate, why did he die and Elisha took over from him.

2 kings 2 9
Elisha carried a double portion of Elijah’s anointing

Hebrews 7:27
Hebrews 8:4
Hebrews 9:12

This is what Christ did for us:

“Unlike those other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices every day. They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people. But Jesus did this once for all when he offered himself as the sacrifice for the people’s sins.”
Hebrews 7:27 – NLT

People chase shadows because they cannot recognize the original.

Hebrews 10:1
Elijah, Elisha. David, Moses were all previews of things to come.
They were not the good things

“The old system under the law of Moses was only a shadow, a dim preview of the good things to come, not the good things themselves.”
Hebrews 10:1 – NLT

Hebrews 10:8
Hebrews 10:23

We were misinformed about backsliding.
When you are in Christ, you cannot backslide.

It does not mean you will not sin but what backsliding means is that you leave the new covenant and put yourself under the law (Hebrews 6:4)

We are subjecting ourselves to something of a lesser quality simply because it benefits some.

2 kings 4:42
A man brought his first fruits. Elisha told him to give it to the people so they can eat. Elisha did not take it for himself

Proverbs 19:17
This is what the scriptures say, but most pastors feed off the poor.

Don’t give in response to pressure.

You have pastors who stand on the pulpit announcing that the need one million Naira, shouting that they will pray for the person.

This type of announcement is called compulsion and it is coercion.

Decide in your heart what to give. Don’t subject yourself to pressure.

The scriptures tell us that we are to share freely and give to the poor.

Sharing is for the brethren, giving is for the poor

We are supposed to share. Many of us have the giving mentality.
Some will give but most don’t know how to share.

Sharing means you share what you have not what you don’t have.

Many pastors take but will never share.

You can share of your excess. You can share of your wealth

2 Corinthians 12:14
The apostle said they will share with the brethren. They will not be a burden to the sheep.

Your father in the lord is supposed to provide for you. If he doesn’t you are a bastard in the lord.

As you are sharing with your preacher, he is supposed to take care of you.

Acts 10:1-4
This is the way you give to God, by giving to the poor.

“Your prayers and gifts to the poor have been received by God as an offering!”
Acts 10:4 – NLT

James 2:14
Faith without action is dead

2 Corinthians 1:16, 12:15
The disciple suffered so the people will not suffer.

The disciples were willing to spend their money and themselves for people.

How many pastors spend their money and themselves for your souls?

Paul called himself a prisoner and endured a lot for others

2 Timothy 2:10

Philippians 4:13-19
Paul was going through some difficulty and they shared with him. When he had enough, he let them know. He let them know he had more that enough.

Paul was not greedy.

When a pastor is in need and you give, there is nothing wrong because the pastor is in need. (He has become “the needy”).

When the pastor is not in need you give to God when you give to the poor and needy.
