With So Many Churches Nigeria Still Remains Poor

I’d rather have Ghana’s development with their small churches than our Mega churches and mega poverty.

I personally see this as the bitter aftertaste of Idahosa’s prosperity gospel.

Nigeria has 102 million people living in extreme poverty according to www.worldpoverty.io. Only today, it was announced that Nigeria’s unemployment rate grew to 27.1%.

So what are we doing with 100,000 seater churches in the poverty capital of the world?🙄

According to the world poverty report, we have double the combined extreme poverty of India and China, despite having less that 10% of their combined population, so how can we even assume that mega worship centres amidst such penury are ‘blessings’?🙄

Now, Yahushua who is the Christ, clearly instructs us not to be greedy and to avoid mammon worship, which this is a clear example of, in my opinion.

◄ Matthew 6:24 ►
New International Version
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

◄ Luke 12:15 ►
New Living Translation
Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.”

Also, using the 419 Yahoo Yahoo that Rebecca and Jacob played Isaac in an old and expired covenant, to justify feeding already plump, pot bellied pastors while children starve, is nothing short of newfangled religious witchery as far as I’m concerned.

Churches have been closed for the last 4 months, I sincerely hope he can maintain this same energy about pastors and ‘financial’ blessings.🙄
