Personally, I do not support this move.

However, it’s scriptural and they got this from exactly the same place tithing and first fruit came from; the old expired covenant.

Christians who refuse to abandon the old law for selfish personal reasons end up slaves to it.

I have said this over and over again.

◄ Deuteronomy 22 ►
New International Version
[28] If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, [29] he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

However, the rape of an engaged woman or wife carries a death penalty.

Deuteronomy 22:23

“Suppose a man meets a young woman, a virgin who is engaged to be married, and he has sexual intercourse with her. If this happens within a town,

24 you must take both of them to the gates of that town and stone them to death. The woman is guilty because she did not scream for help. The man must die because he violated another man’s wife. In this way, you will purge this evil from among you.”

But the same you @DaddyFreeze talked about the newness of the scripture concerning Papa Adeboye’s reference to the old Testament regarding what happened to Abule’s Campus Fellowship building. I like you Daddy F but does that mean you prefer to see the victims of rape dead to seeing them married? Concerning being scriptural, what will Jesus say about it? I remember in the Bible where a woman was almost stoned to death because of adultery and Jesus saved her. Is there anyone in this world that is perfectly perfect? Is there any that has no wrong in him/her? No offence sir, I strongly believe your opinion on this is humanly wrong!
